Police Lights & Handcuffs
A driver going the wrong direction on I-43 caused a crash that closed the southbound lanes for a time on Sunday afternoon. The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office says it happened around 2:50 p.m. when the driver, who was intoxicated, somehow got onto the southbound lanes and began driving northward from Highway 23. That caused a collision with another auto and eventually a third, resulting in injuries that sent one person to the hospital for treatment. The Sheriff says that person has already been released, while the intoxicated driver will have to await formal charges before being released from custody.
