Wicked Waves and Winds have handed City of Sheboygan crews a pretty big mess to clean up. The mess is a deposit of sand that lines the driving lanes of Broughton Drive, the hillside, and the walking path that shares the route along north side Sheboygan’s Lake Michigan shore. To clean it up, the City is closing northbound Broughton Drive between Michigan Avenue and Barret Street, as well as the adjacent walking trail from Michigan Avenue to the North Point Overlook parking lot between 7 a.m. and 12 Noon on Wednesday. That’s to provide for the safety of both the Department of Public Works crews tasked with the cleanup, as well as that of pedestrians and motorists.
The City is asking for patience during the operation, and for drivers to use caution, follow posted signs, and to slow down in work zones.
