Sheboygan Police say that ten of the fourteen people they believe are behind a large disturbance that led to gunfire at End Park in the early morning hours of March 30th are now in custody.
The SPD says the events of that night began outside a bar where a verbal disturbance was broken up by officers on foot patrol. The interruption in the fighting, though, was temporary as groups from each side of the argument, now armed with guns, gathered at nearby End Park at 13th and Bell Avenue to settle the issue. Although gunfire was exchanged, nobody was injured.
Sheboygan Police say that those responsible are both male and female, ranging in age from 19 to 24 years, and trace their home cities to Sheboygan, Chicago, Milwaukee or Fond du Lac. Ten of the 14 believed involved are in custody, but the remainder are at large. Charges so far include 1st degree recklessly endangering safety, felon in possession of a firearm, disorderly conduct, disorderly conduct while armed, and violations of city parks curfew.
