With a packed schedule featuring 12 divisions competing over 20 nights, the first green flag of the 2025 Plymouth Dirt Track Racing season is scheduled to fly at The Plymouth Dirt Track on Saturday, April 26.
The 21st season of Plymouth Dirt Track Racing-sanctioned competition and 66th overall season of regular weekly racing action on the venerable Plymouth Dirt Track third-mile clay oval will include a steady rotation of guest divisions competing alongside the 360 Sprint Cars, Grand Nationals and B Mods, which will serve as the three core PDTR divisions once again in 2025. The Super Six Late Model Series is set to return to the Plymouth Dirt Track Racing schedule for the third consecutive season with seven events slated on May 3, May 10, May 31, June 28, July 12, July 19 and Aug. 9.
The Dirt Kings Late Model Tour will make a pair of stops at The Plymouth Dirt Track on Friday, Aug. 22 and Saturday, Sept. 20 for the annual Wildman Watson Classic.
Other divisions making occasional appearances in 2025 are Wisconsin wingLESS Sprint Cars (June 21, July 26, Sept. 20, Sept. 27), Lightning Sprints (May 17, Aug. 2, Sept. 27), High School Racing Association (July 19, Aug. 16), Street Stocks (June 14, Sept. 20), Wisconsin Legends Dirt Series (April 26) and A Modifieds (Aug. 16, Sept. 20).
The 2025 PDTR schedule will feature five 410 Sprint Car events, highlighted by the long-awaited return of the national touring NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series after a 20-year absence on Friday, June 6.

In addition, the regional Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Series is set to visit The Plymouth Dirt Track on May 17, June 21, Aug. 29 and Sept. 27.
The fifth annual Road America Challenge featuring the IRA 410 Sprint Car Series and PDTR 360 Sprint Cars is another highlight of the 2025 schedule taking place in conjunction with the NTT IndyCar Series weekend at the nearby world-renowned, four-mile Road America road course in Elkhart Lake on Saturday, June 21.
Vintage Modifieds are set to join the regular PDTR divisions on Saturday, July 12, which also serves as the fourth annual Plymouth Racing Wall of Fame Induction Night.
The Plymouth Wall of Fame Class of 2025 inductees include drivers Don Diener, Al Goetsch, Kermit Schulz, Randy Tracy and Jeff Theobald along with the Melis and Johnson racing families. Dedicated to racing inductees include Dave Deicher, Butch and Janet Hafemann and Russ Waldron. All former Plymouth trophy queens are invited to attend as well.
Fans will have a chance to interact and share past memories during a Plymouth Racing Wall of Fame meet-and-greet and memorabilia display session prior to the start of the July 12 racing program.
“The Wall of Fame Night paired with the Vintage Modifieds always provides a great race down memory lane with many past drivers, owners, sponsors, track workers and fans in attendance,” Weinaug said.
The Plymouth Dirt Track will again host the annual Dairyland Classic motorcycle race on Friday, May 30.
A solid mix of Sheboygan County-are veteran contenders and rising newcomers are expected to square off for 2025 A-main victories and track titles, including six-time and defending PDTR Late Model division champion Brad Mueller of Random Lake and two-time and defending PDTR and Midwest Sprint Car Association 360 Sprint Car champion Ben Schmidt of Plymouth, along with 2024 B Mod title winner Travis Schmidt of Plymouth and two-time defending Grand National champ Will Sorce of Franklin.
The Plymouth Dirt Track facility has undergone several upgrades in the offseason designed to improve the viewing experience for fans and enhance the racing experience for drivers and crews, including new grandstand hand railings, lights, clay, speakers and additional cables and reinforcements to the track fence as well enhanced spectator viewing in turn one.
Reduced grandstand prices are on tap for seniors age 65, who will receive a $2 discount, with the $7 student ticket price extending to all middle and high school students between the ages of 12 and 18 for the 2025 season.
PDTR gate admission prices for the 2025 season are as follows. Adults $15, Seniors ages 65 and over $13, Students ages 12-18 $7, children 11 and under free if accompanied by an adult and children 11 and under $7 if unaccompanied by an adult. Pit passes are $30.
“If you haven’t been to the track for a while, please come back and see the changes that have been made to the program and facility both on and off track,” Weinaug said. “If you’ve never been to a dirt track race, it’s a spectator sport that is best when seen in person. We invite everyone to come out and get your senses going.
“From hearing the roar of the cars and fans, variety of smells of the cars and food to the feeling of the cars going past and the action are highlights of the evening,” he said. “It all makes for a night of excitement and fun. Most of all. come hungry. We have the best dirt track food hands down at a great price.”
On normal race nights beginning on May 31, pit gates will open at 3 p.m., grandstand gates will open at 4:30 p.m. with qualifying at 5 p.m. and racing to follow.
