Wisconsin DOT crews will have several maintenance tasks to complete on area highways this week. While none should cause much inconvenience, road work does present an elevated risk of accidents and injury, especially to the workers, and drivers are being asked to slow down and use extra caution in those zones.
Beam guards are to be repaired on southbound I-43 at County Line Road between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day this week Monday through Thursday, and a moving lane closure is planned.
Pavement is in need of repair on both the east, and westbound lanes of Highway 23 between County Road “P” and State Highway 57, also between 6 and 4 Monday through Thursday, and also employing moving lane closures to control the flow.
Both directions of I-43 are scheduled for pavement repairs between Highway 28 at Sheboygan and the south county line near Cedar Grove, again using moving lane closures between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. now through Thursday this week.
As usual, weather can affect schedules and changes might occur.
