North 25th Street in Sheboygan will not be the convenient, direct route between Superior and North Avenues in Sheboygan as of Friday. That’s due to reconstruction of that stretch of the street and associated infrastructure, a process that will take until sometime in August to complete.
The project involves water main replacement, repairs to curbs, gutters, sidewalks and storm and sanitary sewers, along with installing ADA-accessible ramps and a new asphalt surface.
Those living on the street will have access via cross-streets, but the nearest direct route between North and Superior avenues will be via Taylor Drive. The City is urging the public to slow down and to exercise patience and caution in that area for the duration of the work which will take much of the summer to complete, and is subject to the weather.
