A sex offender who is reaching the end of his sentence will be released from prison, and the Department of Corrections has chosen to release him in Sheboygan.
60-year-old Patrick M. Miech will be paroled when he reaches his maximum release date the week of May 18. It’s the Wisconsin Department of Corrections’ job to find a suitable location out of a choice of three possibilities: either the county of residence during the time of the offense, the county where they were convicted, or at a sex offender treatment facility. According to the Wisconsin Circuit Court Access system, Miech had previously resided on the same block of his intended placement, 930A Michigan Avenue. He had pleaded guilty to one count of exposing a child to harmful material and being a repeat offender and was initially sentenced in 2023 to three years in state prison followed by 2 years of extended supervision. His sentence was amended last year.
Miech is not wanted by police at this time and will be under 24-hour electronic monitoring while being supervised by probation and parole agents. He is prohibited from unsupervised contact with minors and may not ingest illegal substances.
