A Sheboygan nonprofit organization that aids homeless residents with essentials, education, and support services finds itself in a homeless situation after the building previously serving as their headquarters has closed as of April 15th.
Sheboygan Area Pay It Forward is a local 501(c)3 non-profit that, according to its website, is dedicated to helping those in need through assistance to individuals and families in need of household and hygiene essentials, as well as providing support and education to help people achieve a better quality of life.
The organization provides a safe space for those experiencing homelessness for such things as a bathroom, and resources to enable progress toward independence. Employment-
Those services have become harder to provide after the closure of their previous headquarters, and a search is underway for a commercially-zoned building located within the downtown area, specifically between Michigan and Pennsylvania Avenues, and from 5th to 14th Streets.
