A collaborative effort of Lakeshore College and the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay is hoping to lure more students into the teaching and nursing professions. The program, called “Forward” allows students to save thousands of dollars by starting with Lakeshore to complete their foundations of teacher education or an associate degree in nursing, and then seamlessly transition to UW-Green Bay to complete their bachelor’s degrees.
Informational sessions to highlight those benefits are scheduled in four meetings beginning at the UW-Green Bay, Sheboygan Campus from 6-7 p.m. on Monday, May 19th. Another takes place there from 9-10 a.m. on June 10th. Another session will be held at the Lakeshore College, Center for Health Care Excellence on Wednesday, May 21st from 4-5 p.m., and if you can’t make any of those, a virtual session will be offered on June 18th between 6 and 7 p.m.
