Lakeshore College’s District Board of Trustees Chair, John Wyatt, has been elected President of the Wisconsin Technical College District Boards Association.
That association acts as a statewide forum for trustees of locally-governed, community-based technical colleges. The board is a private, non-profit organization that collaborates to help and advocate for each of the 16 Wisconsin Technical College districts.
Lakeshore College President, Dr. Paul Carlsen, said that Wyatt’s wealth of knowledge will be an asset for the state board, while also serving as a bridge between the local and state levels.
Wyatt identified his top priorities as increasing the level of collaboration between all 16 colleges in the system, to provide meaningful educational opportunities for other board members, and to empower them to serve their colleges and communities with excellence.
Wyatt will serve as president for a one-year term beginning July 1st.
