MADISON, Wis (May 20, 2025) – The Wisconsin Association of FFA will be hosting its 96th Annual Wisconsin FFA Convention and Expo on June 9th-12th at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wis. The association is excited to come together to celebrate the accomplishments of the organization’s 259 chapters during this past academic year.
Wisconsin FFA Executive Director, Cheryl Zimmerman shared the following sentiments about the event, “The Wisconsin FFA Convention is a culmination of so many achievements over the past school year and a time to celebrate the positive impact FFA has made in the lives of young people, schools and communities. FFA members come to Madison to receive recognition, compete in state level competitions, conduct the business of the FFA Association and participate in numerous service projects. At this event, FFA members, advisors and our many supporters can participate in a wide array of activities including sessions, Career Expo and workshops. The true value comes through the networking of FFA members and advisors with each other as well as leaders in agriculture and education, alumni and supporters and our many wonderful sponsors that support FFA. Each year the FFA Convention brings an atmosphere of positive energy with young people who are preparing to be leaders in agriculture and their communities. Anyone who attends our Convention leaves with a renewed spirit and reassurance that FFA members are future leaders that can change the world.”
Jescey Thompson, Wisconsin FFA President, shared his team’s excitement regarding the convention, “The 96th Wisconsin FFA Convention will be an exhilarating time to recognize the success of nearly 26,000 FFA members across the state! Throughout our convention, members will attend workshops on a variety of topics, compete in events that develop their leadership skills and career readiness, attend general sessions celebrating each other, and travel around the Madison area completing service projects. As an FFA member and State Officer, this is my favorite part of the year! Our convention serves as a reunion, bringing thousands together to reconnect, collaborate, and forge a bright path into the future of agriculture. The 2024-2025 State Officer Team is so excited to welcome many FFA members, advisors, supporters, and guests back to the Alliant Energy Center. At the end of convention, we will also announce the successors of the State Officers, bringing a new year’s leadership to the table!”
Highlights of the convention will include the Day of Service within the Madison community, charters presented to three FFA chapters, the Wisconsin State FFA Degree bestowed to over 400 FFA members, announcement of the Wisconsin FFA State Stars, a student spotlight stage, competitions, workshops and more. The 2025-2026 Officer Team will be announced on Wednesday night. Additionally, the association will recognize sponsors, alumni, and supporters whose commitment to Agricultural Education makes instilling premier leadership, personal growth, and career success within its members possible.
