Road maintenance in Sheboygan County won’t be widespread, but the Wisconsin DOT is asking for attention in the several work zones planned for this week.
Crews are scheduled to repair pavement on eastbound Highway 23 between County Highway “P” and Inez Court, just west of the City of Plymouth. Work is scheduled to last all this week through 3 p.m. on Friday the 20th. A lane closure will take place during those repairs. There will also be several closures to watch for as DOT crews continue line marking operations on I-43 ramps.
Major projects continue elsewhere. Work on Highway 28 is progressing with a new bridge deck scheduled to be poured this week in the Village of Cascade, along with the grading of a cross culvert in Batavia.
Highway 32 work this week will concern completing the final two curb ramps on the south side of the Union and Main Avenue intersection in Cedar Grove, while work on two box culverts near Gibbsville will take the first stretch of that project closer to completion. Hard closures are in place at those two locations just north of the village and just south of Wilson-Lima Road, forcing traffic to find detours for the time being.
As always, drivers are urged to exercise caution and slow down in work zones for safety.
