Thunderstorms that briefly produced large hail and winds over 60 mph struck the northeast half of Sheboygan County last evening, doing damage in at least one of the areas affected.
A home in the 2400 block of South 12th Street near Roosevelt Park sustained damage when a tree was toppled onto the roof. Sheboygan Police say that it happened shortly after 80:30 PM. A Severe Thunderstorm Warning and Special Marine Warning had been issued by the National Weather Service only minutes before.
There was no estimate of damage available, and fortunately, nobody was hurt.
