The Sheboygan Area School District had to yield to the heat and cancel summer school classes today. The District said that given the heat advisory, and the fact that some buildings don’t have air conditioning, it took the move to cancel all elementary, middle school, specialty, and Recreation Department Summer Adventure classes today. The only classes that will be held are high school credit-gaining and unit recovery courses at South High, Warriner and Central High School.
However, with air conditioning available, all North and South High activities in the fitness centers and gyms will run as scheduled, including Raider Strength and Redwing Way.
The District will also make free meals available for students at North and South High Schools.
