A 29-year-old Sheboygan man is in jail in Wausau, facing charges of sexual assault by use of a dangerous weapon, and battery or threats against law enforcement.
Court records in Marathon County claim that Terrell Poe forced himself on the woman in late May. The victim reported the incident and underwent a sexual assault examination. Poe was arrested on June 5th, formal charges were issued ten days later and bond was set at $25,000 cash.
The officer who arrested him claims that Poe, who used to live in Wausau, threatened to stab them as he was being taken into custody. He’s due in court tomorrow for a preliminary hearing, and has yet to enter a plea. He’d previously been convicted of felony battery against an elderly person, and on a misdemeanor count for criminal damage to property. He faces up to 66 years in prison if convicted on the current charges, with additional time possible as a repeat offender.
