Sweet fancy Moses!
Imagine waking up in rural Missouri*, walking outside in 1,000 degree temps, driving to a job you hate, and out of nowhere the road buckles and sends your Toyota Corolla sailing like Eleanor in Gone In 60 Seconds :
Send it!
I’m sure the person driving this car will have a nice, simple call with his/her insurance company as well. Easy peazy. Definitely won’t get rerouted a million times to try to explain how the road turned into a bike ramp in an instant. Probably just plan on a PTO day when you make that call. At least you have video!
*I felt like this guy typing that sentence:
PS: I had a buddy get married in Missouri in the dead of summer about 10 years ago. Me and a bunch of my friends piled into two cars and road tripped it out there. Let me tell you something about how hot it gets in Missouri: It’s like being on the surface of the sun. I’ve never experienced heat like that. We were all sweating from the second we got there until the second we left. Being in an air conditioned room meant you would sweat slightly less. I’m pretty sure people from Missouri vacation in Hell just to cool down. So when I saw the location of this road just giving up because it’s so hot, the location didn’t surprise me one bit. I guess you get used to everything in time, but I have no idea how people deal with that 4 months out of the year.
