City of Sheboygan Department of Public Works
The City of Sheboygan is advising residents on five area streets to expect closures for milling in the coming week. The Department of Public Works will begin their operations beginning Monday, June 30, with completion anticipated on Wednesday, July 2nd.
Prior to the day before work is to be undertaken, “No Parking” signs will be posted along the sections being milled. During the work, the street will be closed to thru traffic in order to complete the work safely and efficiently. The closures are temporary as the work is completed relatively quickly according to City officials, normally last only one day, and the “No Parking” signs will be removed as work is completed.
The following streets are scheduled for the operation:
South 20th Street from Indiana to Georgia Avenue
Dillingham Avenue from South 8th to South 12th Street
North 16th Street from Superior to Saemann Avenue
Oakland Avenue from South 8th to South 9th Street
South 7th Street from Union to Mead Avenue
As usual, weather can impact schedules, and the City is asking for patience and cooperation as the work is done, and drivers are asked to slow down and use caution in work zones.
