Authorities have identified the Campbellsport man who died in a Tuesday afternoon crash. The Fond du Lac County County Sheriff’s Office says that 18-year-old Sawyer Dirmeir died when the motorcycle he was driving struck a pickup truck that had stopped and was proceeding through the intersection of County Highway “V” and Auburn-Ashford Drive.
The driver of that truck, 32-year-old Daniel Ermer of Campbellsport, was cooperating fully with investigators who determined that the speed of Dirmeir’s motorcycle was apparently a factor in the crash, and until the investigation is complete, no charges or citations will be issued.
