(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) June 28, 2025 – Taylor Scheffler of Waukesha executed a late pass to secure a $2,000 Plymouth Dirt Track Racing payday in the 30-lap Seubert Calf Ranches Super Six Late Model Series headliner presented by Sheboygan Rock’s Station 106.5 The Buzz at The Plymouth Dirt Track in Plymouth, Wis. on Saturday, June 28.
In the 25-lap Akright Auto 360 Sprint Car main event, Brandon Berth of Cascade made his maiden visit to victory lane in 360 Sprint Car A-main competition at The Plymouth Dirt Track.
Jeff Steenbergen of Johnson Creek incorporated late heroics on the way to victory in the 25-lap Dirt Devil Grand National Series headliner presented by Oostburg Automotive.
Three-time PDTR Grand National champion Tim Warner of Malone posted the win in the 25-lap B Mod A main.
Polesitter Mitch McGrath of Waukesha grabbed the early lead in the 30-lap Super Six Late Model Series main event as six-time Brad Mueller of Random Lake, who started second, dueled with third starter Brett Swedberg of Shawano for the runner-up spot.
Following a pair of cautions, Mueller secured second on lap 5 with Taylor Scheffler moving into third from the seventh starting position. After the third and final caution flag of the race flew on lap 9, Scheffler used the high groove to steer around Mueller into second on the 10th circuit.
Scheffler continued to work the cushion to reel in McGrath as the laps ticked down. Finally, Sheffler swept into the lead with a high move in turn four on lap 24. Over the final six laps, Scheffler built up a commanding full-straightaway cushion on the way to his 10th career PDTR Late Model A-main victory.
Mueller was second, Swedberg wound up third, 11th starter Joe Bongiorno of Milwaukee placed fourth and Bill Edler of Howards moved up five positions to round out the top five.
McGrath crossed the finish line in second place. However, a rules infraction disqualified him from the race.
Second starter Brandon Berth outpowered polesitter Shane Wenninger of Kewaskum, who was in Chris Larson’s No 51 car, to gain the lead on the drop of the green flag in the 25-lap 360 Sprint Car main event.
Two-time and defending PDTR 360 Sprint Car champion Ben Schmidt of Plymouth quickly maneuvered his way into second from the fourth starting spot on the second go-around.
On lap five, Berth caught up to the tail of the field and began the process of slicing his way through slower traffic. The lone caution of the race appeared on lap 8.
When the race returned to green flag action, Berth again cruised away from Schmidt and worked lapped traffic to his advantage down the stretch on the way to his first career PDTR 360 Sprint Car A-main triumph and seventh overall Midwest Sprint Car Association A-main win.
Schmidt finished second, Wenninger wound up third, sixth starter Clayton Rossmann of Wadsworth, Ill. placed fourth and Bill Taylor of Boltonville placed fifth after starting third.
Nick Schumacher of Eagle seized the early lead of the 25-lap Dirt Devil Grand National Series headliner from the pole while outside front row starter Mark Kuhfuss of Sheboygan Falls followed in second.
By lap 10, Schumacher had built his advantage to a full straightway over Kuhfuss.
As Kuhfuss began to close the gap on Schumacher on lap 16, Steenbergen advanced from his 11th starting spot to take over third. The first of two caution flags came out on lap 20 when Kuhfuss stopped with a mechanical issue.
One lap later, Steenbergen ducked under Schumacher to gain the top spot exiting turn four before two-time defending Grand National champ Will Sorce of Franksville, who started 13th, grabbed second on lap 24.
As the white flag flew, two-time seven-time Plymouth Dirt Track champion Brian Gilles of Plymouth spun in turn three to bring out the second and final caution flag of the event.
On the single-file green-white-checkered flag restart, Sorce worked the high line to pressure Steenbergen for the top spot. However, Steenbergen, who has five career A-main triumphs to his credit in the PDTR B Mod division, held strong to nail down his first career main event win in the PDTR Grand National ranks.
Sorce was second, Schumacher placed third, fourth starter Darryl Traber of Waterford finished fourth and sixth starter Chad Espen of West Bend wound up fifth.
Polesitter Kelan Wolfe of Oostburg led the opening lap of the PDTR B Mod headliner before three-time PDTR B Mod champ Tim Warner bolted his way into the lead on lap 2 from the seventh starting position.
By lap 6, Warner had established a substantial full straightaway cushion over third starter Tim Thrun of Horicon. After a pair of cautions appeared on lap 6 and lap 18, 2024 PDTR B Mod champion Travis Schmidt of Plymouth, who started 10th, dueled side-by-side with ninth starter Spencer Long of Sheboygan Falls for the runner-up spot.
Long spun into the infield in the closing laps as Warner cruised to his division-leading 13th career PDTR B Mod main event triumph.
Schmidt placed second, Logan Brass of Howard Grove charged up 15 spots from the 18th starting position to finish third, 12th starter Cole Thomas of Germantown was fourth and Rory Welch of Plymouth placed fifth from the sixth starting spot.
Two-time Plymouth track champion Dick Hed of Plymouth was victorious in the first 12-lap Grand National B main at 86 years of age. Jake Richards of Neshkoro took the win in the second 12-lap Grand National B main.
Elijah Koenig of Fox Lake earned the victory in the 12-lap B Mod B main.
Mike Mullen of Seymour secured the fastest qualifying time in the Super Six Late Model Series division with a lap of 13.582 seconds.
Alex Pokorski claimed fast qualifier honors in the PDTR 360 Sprint Car division with a lap of 12.678 seconds.
The eighth event of the 2025 PDTR campaign, sponsored by Pedal Down Promotions, attracted 106 total entries, including 33 Grand Nationals, 30 B Mods, 24 360 Sprint Cars and 19 Late Models.
