The reconstruction of South 18th Street is set to begin next week Thursday. The Sheboygan Department of Public Works said that the work that involves storm sewer improvements, new crosswalks at the intersections, and concrete panel replacement will begin on July 10th, and will likely take until late August to complete.
During the project, South 18th Street will be closed to through traffic. Access to local residences in the construction area will be accessible at all times, except when paving operations occur adjacent to a driveway.
As usual, all work and traffic impacts are weather-dependent and subject to change. The City is asking people to exercise their patience and to slow down in work zones.
