Multiple responders were on the scene as a barn fire had broken out in the early afternoon hours. By 1:45PM, the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office notified the public that southbound lanes of Highway 57 had to be closed between County Highway “D” and Martin Drive in the Village and Town of Fredonia. Initially, the closure was emplaced beginning at Willow Valley Road, but was expanded northward to Highway “D” to allow crews to battle the fire which had fully engulfed the barn by 1:45 PM.
