90,000 pounds is a lot of food – but that only lasts one month at the Sheboygan County Food Bank. The organization coordinates the collection and distribution of food through partner organizations throughout the county, and supports an average of over 6,000 family visits. That’s more food and more family visits than the 2024 average.
As a result, the food bank said that right now its warehouse has less than 30% of its capacity and is in need of donations to avoid shortages. The organization took to social media on Monday, putting out a request for cereal, pasta & rice, canned tuna or chicken, canned fruit, and personal care items like soap and toothpaste.
Anyone can drop off items at the warehouse at 3115 North 21st Street, Door “C” Monday through Friday between 9 AM and 3 PM.
You could even host a food drive if you’re so inspired. For details, click here.
